🇱🇹 Наївно очікувати, що Путін просто відступить після листа Зеленського, - міністр оборони Литви Каунас

The remarks came after the publication of Volodymyr Zelensky’s letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The minister stressed that a just peace implies the complete withdrawal of Russian troops from all occupied territories, including Crimea.

“A just peace means the full withdrawal of Russian troops from the occupied territories of Ukraine, including Crimea,” Kaunas said.

He also emphasized that any steps demonstrating Russia’s accountability for the war and its consequences are important and justified.

At the same time, the minister noted that expecting a quick change in the Kremlin’s position may be naive.

In his view, the international community should strengthen support for Ukraine, particularly by increasing arms supplies, in order to ensure an advantage for the defending state.
