🇩🇪 Talks between Ukraine and Germany on possible deliveries of Taurus cruise missiles are ongoing, but their relevance is no longer as high as it was at the beginning of the full-scale war. This was stated by CDU/CSU foreign policy spokesperson in the Bundestag Jürgen Hardt in an interview with Ukrinform.

He noted that the nature of warfare has changed significantly in recent years, particularly due to the extensive use of drones, which have become a key element of modern combat.
According to Hardt, the emergence of new weapons systems and the development of drone technology have reduced the strategic importance of Taurus missiles in the current conditions.
At the same time, he stressed support for a restrained public discussion regarding the supply of such systems and noted that relevant negotiations between the political leadership of Ukraine and Germany are ongoing without public pressure.
The MP also emphasized that the strategic goal remains the restoration of Ukraine’s internationally recognized borders and the return of occupied territories.
He added that Ukraine has no territorial claims against Russia and is focused on defending its land and citizens, including the issue of returning deported children.
According to him, Ukraine may consider certain compromises to achieve peace, but the final decisions belong to Kyiv, and Germany will support them.
