The Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalled that as early as January 27, the European Commission emphasized the importance of the integrity of energy infrastructure for the security of the entire EU. Blanár stressed that any threat to Slovakia’s energy security is unacceptable.

After the latest attack on the pipeline, supplies were halted, and restoration may take at least five days. The ministers described Ukraine’s actions as posing a serious threat to the energy security of Slovakia and Hungary, and called on the European Commission to ensure the safety of supplies for EU member states.
