According to Sulyok, he will remain in office and wait for a decision from the Venice Commission.
The President of Hungary also promised cooperation with the new government, particularly on drafting new legislation to unlock frozen EU funds that were blocked during the premiership of Viktor Orbán.
At the same time, he emphasized that the head of state is obliged to act in accordance with the current constitution, noting that the rules of his election have not significantly changed since 1990.
