Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has said that Ankara is involved in the process of negotiations on a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia.

According to Fidan, Turkey is actively working as a mediator in a number of regional conflicts and aims to contribute to stability not only in the Black Sea region, but also in the Balkans, the Middle East, the South Caucasus, and Asia.
“We want to see development and regional peace in the Balkans, the South Caucasus, the Middle East, Asia, and the Black Sea region,” he said.
The minister added that Turkey continues to participate in talks on a possible ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia, following the principles of a cautious and balanced foreign policy.
Fidan also commented on Ukraine’s international contacts, including recent talks with Syria, calling them a positive signal for the development of dialogue between the countries.
He emphasized that Turkey maintains good relations with both Ukraine and Syria and considers the development of potential cooperation between the sides important.
