🇪🇺 He made these remarks upon arriving at the EU Foreign Ministers’ Council meeting on Monday, reports “European Pravda.”
🤝 Sikorski thanked European diplomats who tried to prevent escalation of the conflict in the region during negotiations in Geneva.
💣 He emphasized that the dramatic events in the Middle East give moscow a reason to intensify airstrikes. “We have another day of death in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities,” the minister stressed.
📈 The increased tension leads to higher oil prices, which in turn fills the russian budget and enables it to finance the war.
📅 Sikorski also expressed hope that the European Union will approve the 18th sanctions package against russia this week.
