The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stated that Ankara can act as a mediator in peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia and help monitor compliance with a ceasefire.

He emphasized that Turkey remains neutral in the conflict, does not impose sanctions on Moscow, has only restricted the movement of Russian military ships through the Bosporus, and has sent weapons to Kyiv.
“Turkey is the only player capable of communicating directly with both Putin and Zelenskyy. Our doors remain open to everyone. I have repeatedly expressed this determination to both leaders,” Erdoğan said.
