📊 According to the latest polls, the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), led by Friedrich Merz, is in the lead with around 30% support.

⚖️ In second place is the far-right “Alternative for Germany” (AfD) with 21%, while the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) has 15%.

📉 These elections are being held under a new law that limits the number of Bundestag deputies to 630, more than 100 fewer than before.

🌍 Key campaign issues include the economic crisis, migration policy, and Germany’s role in the EU. Forming a new coalition is likely to be a difficult and lengthy process due to disagreements between the parties and growing support for far-right forces.
