🇨🇳 China has accused the United States of violating the trade truce reached during negotiations in Geneva in early May, citing Washington’s unilateral actions that provoke a new wave of disputes.

🗣️ According to the Financial Times, China’s Ministry of Commerce stated: “The U.S. has seriously violated the trade truce. Instead of reflecting on its own actions, it has baselessly accused China of breaching the consensus.”
🚫 Washington recently adopted a number of “discriminatory” measures against China: revoking visas for Chinese students, restricting the export of chip design software, and increasing pressure on companies like Huawei.
📉 Beijing believes this directly contradicts the agreements reached in Geneva, which provided for a temporary reduction of tariffs that previously reached 145%.
⚠️ “If the U.S. insists on unilateral actions and continues to harm China’s interests, China will take resolute steps to protect its legitimate rights,” warned the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
