Former Trump national security advisor John Bolton stated that the chances of ending the war in Ukraine are now lower than before Trump’s meeting with the russian dictator putin in Alaska. He shared this in an interview with Sky News.

According to Bolton, putin has completely avoided punishment for the war against Ukraine.
“Putin literally avoided punishment for the killings. Whatever he told Trump in Alaska, he simply ignores it — intensifying attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine, not reducing russia’s military efforts, and making no concessions,” emphasized the former advisor.
He added that the situation is worsening: “I think everything is falling apart. The chances for peace in Ukraine now are probably worse than they were before the Alaska summit.”
Bolton also believes that Trump was humiliated during the meeting: “I don’t think he realizes it, but putin believes that the old magic has returned, that his KGB training allowed him to deceive Trump once again.”
