Kalimatov was found guilty of financing Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, including by granting one-time bonuses to new members of Putin’s occupying forces. The court established that the official systematically directed funds and resources to support Russian troops.

Under his orders, the Ingushetian government paid one-time bonuses to citizens signing contracts with the Russian armed forces — ranging from 100,000 to 400,000 rubles. Additionally, by Kalimatov’s directive, the army received medical supplies, equipment, heat guns, sleeping bags, clothing, and vehicles — a total of about 45 tons of cargo.

The investigation was conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Office in Chernivtsi Region. The Prosecutor General’s Office reminded that Kalimatov is already under sanctions imposed by Ukraine, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

The verdict was issued under Part 3 of Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — financing actions aimed at altering Ukraine’s territorial boundaries or state border.
