🇪🇺 On Wednesday, May 7, a debate will take place in the European Parliament on achieving a fair, sustainable, and comprehensive peace settlement for Ukraine.

🗣️ This was announced by the European Parliament spokesperson, Delphine Collard.
👥 Members of the European Parliament, along with the EU Council President and a representative of the European Commission, will discuss how the EU can contribute to a peace settlement that is fair and sustainable, while ensuring Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
💬 Collard noted that the debate will also cover political, financial, and military support from the EU for Ukraine.
⚖️ “The EU must ensure a peace settlement that preserves Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, based on international law,” she added.
📅 On May 8, members of the European Parliament will vote on extending the suspension of import duties and quotas on certain goods from Ukraine, including iron and steel.
🔄 This decision has been extended three times since 2022, and its validity ends on June 5, 2025. A vote on the continuation of this suspension will take place on Thursday.
