The United States is constantly working with allies to increase air defense and missile defense capabilities, as well as logistics.

This was stated by the former commander-in-chief of the US ground forces in Europe, Ben Hodges.
He answered the question of whether the United States is ready for a hypothetical war with Russia in Europe.
“The army and air force, all our services are constantly training, maintaining combat capability.
To send a signal to the Kremlin: we are ready. This is containment. And of course, constantly working with our allies on exercises, we are all trying to increase our air and missile defense capabilities, logistical support,” Hodges said.
“I would say that we are always preparing for war with Russia in Europe. …We prepared for this all the time when I was a lieutenant in 1981 in West Germany during the Cold War. Our job every day was to be ready to fight against the USSR if it attacked,” the general added.
At the same time, Hodges said, in his opinion, there will be no nuclear apocalypse.
“Even the Russians know that it will not provide them with a positive result if they do it,” he concluded.
