⚖️ French Minister of Industry Marc Ferracci expressed concern over the planned visit of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to U.S. President Donald Trump. In his opinion, such a trip could seriously undermine European unity in responding to American tariffs.

🧩 “We must be united, because Europe is strong when it is united. If we start conducting bilateral negotiations, of course it will break this momentum,” Ferracci emphasized in a comment to Politico.
📉 He believes that Meloni may unknowingly play into Trump’s strategy, which aims to divert the European Union from a unified stance on economic issues, particularly U.S. tariff policy.
🔍 A similar view is held by French Minister Delegate for European Affairs Benjamin Haddad, who noted: “If you go to the U.S. separately, divided, do you really think you’ll be stronger than if you go as all 27 [EU countries]?”
