🗳️ Verkhovna Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk explained why the leader of “European Solidarity,” Petro Poroshenko, was blocked from an official international trip to the U.S. According to him, the travel request was submitted on the evening of April 1, with a demand to process the documents by the morning of the same day, which he called a “fantasy genre.” He also noted that official trips are only possible within the framework of interparliamentary activities, whereas the request was for participation in a conference.

📌 However, MP from “European Solidarity” Iryna Herashchenko accused Stefanchuk of lying, stating that the documents were originally submitted back in February and resubmitted on March 20. She added that the government is deliberately “clearing the political field,” and Poroshenko’s interparliamentary activities are being blocked despite his international connections that could benefit Ukraine.
🛑 Herashchenko also mentioned that the sanctions imposed on Poroshenko effectively hinder his ability to support the Ukrainian army, and the current situation is yet another step in political pressure against the opposition.
📜 The MP published a screenshot of documents confirming the request submission and criticized Stefanchuk for his loyalty to the President’s Office instead of professionally fulfilling his duties.
