🛑 During a search on board, numerous pieces of evidence were found confirming its involvement in illegal transportation. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
⚓ “A vessel illegally transporting Ukrainian grain from occupied Crimea was arrested in the Black Sea. The operation was jointly conducted by the Maritime Guard of the State Border Guard Service and the SBU as part of efforts to counter russia’s economic crimes,” the statement said.
📦 The investigation established that at the end of 2024, the vessel exported about 5,000 tons of wheat from the port of Sevastopol, where it had been delivered from the temporarily occupied part of southern Ukraine.
🎭 To conceal the origin of the cargo, the ship used the flag of one of the Asian countries — a common practice for russia’s so-called “shadow fleet.”
🔍 After the detention, a search was conducted, during which documents, navigation equipment, and other physical evidence were seized. The vessel was arrested, and the crew was handed over to investigators. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
